At first blush, the somewhat minimalist casual seafood bistro-lounge certainly looks bigger than it is. Thankfully, the people behind Greg’s Seafood Shack have decided to marry the idea of beer and seafood so diners can also choose to dine amidst lush greenery at the adjoining outdoor Beer Tavern offering more than 20 varieties of beer.
The menu is an experimental result consisting of local and Asian flavours from the salmon-with-kimchi-taco to its wok-fried-broil.
Fresh scallops submerged in cauliflower puree and topped with intense wakame.
Asian-inspired sweet and spicy finger food made with smoked salmon, trout roe, kimchi, mayonnaise.
Crumbly and briny, the crab cake is best eaten with homemade aioli that comes with a gorgeous spicy kick.
All-time favourite summer appetizer that is rich and creamy.
Nothing can go wrong with this especially when it’s made from scratch.
Singapore has been exposed to every kind of seafood dishes, and inevitably the newer introduction of traditional lobster roll. Don’t let the traditional lobster roll figure less heavily into the menu just because it’s not forcibly flavoured.
A simple yet very enjoyable dish of battered then fried cod fish was touched up by a squeeze of lemon and a dab of tangy homemade tartar sauce.
One of the menu highlights has got to be St Gregory’s Place Seafood Broil. The chef employed a range of asian-inspired sauce, such as Spicy Kimchi Clam Broth, Spicy Black Bean, Chilli, Garlic, & Ginger sauce, Singapore Chilli Sauce and Wok-fried with Salted Egg for the seafood broil with tiger prawns, little neck clams, blue lipped mussels, snow crab legs and slipper lobster. Take comfort in knowing that you can order a side of rye breads to mop up remaining gravies without wasting a single drop.
All broil comes with a choice of 2 sides and free-flow fries.
To freshen up the meal, we’d recommend desserts such as the very instagrammable Flower Pot that would melt your heart with it’s meltingly good chocolatey taste. For those who love a little more tartness, Citrus Collection and Mango Passion Ice Parfait would seem to sparkle just a little every single time it touches your tastebuds.
