The yearly Durian High Tea Buffet by Marriot has arrived. Indeed Marriott Cafe is one of the preferred places for High Tea with it wide range of delicacy from local to international cuisine. We especially love the desserts and pastries the chef has made.
The team has brought together a variety of creative yet yummy-licious sweet & savory durian creations incorporated with top-rated Mao Shan Wang. In this spotlight this year are Durian Red Bean Pudding; Durian Coconut Custard; Durian Tarts; and Durian Gateau.
Inspired by another sweet Asian crowd-favourite, this pudding utilises the finest whole Japanese azuki beans and durian purée, Loving how the taste is well mixed with the after taste of Azuki bean aroma lingering in your mouth.
Durian custard wrapped with thin golden-like layer of fragrance crepe and top with toasted coconut flakes. A very localised way of presentation. The coconut flakes indeed brings this dish to another heavenly stairs.
This beautiful mini durian tarts is one of our favourites. This East-meets-West masterpiece of alluring bittersweet durian crème encased in a crisp buttery tart shell will send you straight to gastronomic paradise.
Durian Gateau that boasts layers of smooth durian mousse paired with pillow-like moist sponge that will have you simply wanting more.
Bite-size popping puff made of choux pastry infused with creamy bittersweet durian. You can’t just stop at one.
DIY rojak is one of the buffet stations at the cafe. This season, you can choose to drizzle with lightweight Durian sauce for a fun tasting experience.
A warm aromatic durian mousse and cream, sandwiched between golden-brown, flaky pastry crusts is one of our favourites too.
Now we know one of the best ways to enjoy durian is SMOOTHIES. These 2 smoothies are so awesome. What scares us when Durian Banana Smoothies was introduced to us, We were like “It’s not going to work for Banana with Durian”. We were so wrong when we had our 1st sip. That is so good that we can’t stop after that. It was just so refreshing and the taste of durian and banana compliments so well with each other. You SURELY have to try this. Each smoothie is going for just $5++. It will surely satisfy your tastebuds.
You’ll want to save space for the expansive array of local delights and International delicacies.Savour the freshest fine seafood on ice, including Poached Prawns, and more. Devour Singapore’s classics from Nasi Lemak with Crispy Chicken Wings to Laksa, and all-time favourites such as Oyster Omelette; Hokkien Mee; Bak Kut Teh, and more.
