Inspired by Chinese novel Journey To The West, Executive Chef Eric Ong of Indulge at Park creates a glorious buffet of dishes dedicated to Chinese Lunar New Year.

Indulge at Park within Grand Park City Hall, is smacked right in the heart of the town. The relatively massive restaurant has a charmingly cheerful indoors with an atrium out front that enjoy lots of natural light, and seats a total of 200 people.

In the Year of the Fire Monkey, Indulge at Park ushers in the year with a generous tide of abundance, prosperity and happiness. Chef Eric goes all out to present a melange of celebratory treats, which are perfect for reunions and resplendent feastings with your family, friends and business associates.

Bring forth a year of good luck, prosperity and wealth when you are tossing Huaguoshan Yu Sheng combining crispy fish skin, fresh salmon slices, and specially concocted peach, mango and passion fruit sauce.

Be pampered with a generous buffet spread of seafood, meats and vegetarian dishes. Starting the list of seafood dishes and the rest of the buffet spread would be the appetising Lobster Salad with Mayo and Tobiko in Crispy Cones, where cubes of firm lobster flesh are coated in specially made white sauce, then snugged in bite-sized cones.

Brewed with fresh live prawns, pork ribs, red dates, wolfberries, Chinese wine and other ingredients, the intoxicatingly fragrant Drunken Prawn with Chinese Wine Herbs is tasteful with every sip.

For vegetarians or those who want to eat lighter this auspicious season, go for Braised Vegetable with Monkey Head Mushrooms, Braised Eight Vegetarian Items in Claypot, Sauteed Diced Lotus Roots with Celery and Walnuts or Steamed Beancurd and Vegetarian Ham with Special Sauce.

To feed the carnivorous side of you, Chef Eric makes mean dishes epitomized especially by Wok-Fried White Pepper Pork. Meltingly tender pork ribs finished in a rich, peppery sauce. Others in the list includes succulent Braised Pork Trotters with Dried Oyster And Black Moss, and Tender Roasted Beef Short-Rib with Black Pepper Sauce. Not to be missed is Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Ginseng and Chinese Herb – essence of goodness sealed in light, highly-flavoured clear broth.

Not veering far from the theme this year, Indulge at Park further tempts diners with a variety of fascinating desserts such as fruit platter Sliced Seasonal Fruit with Ginseng Fruit, 3000 Year Old White Peach Ice Cream, Chilled Mango Creme with Pomelo and Sago, Banana In Coconut Sago Creme and last but not least, Liu Sa Pau – Salted Egg Custard Bun.

Lunch and dinner buffet are both available starting from now to 19th February, but you might want to make a reservation prior to 7th, 8th and 9th February for reunion dinner and Lunar New Year meals. If a buffet lunch/dinner doesn’t match your needs, Indulge at Park further introduces Journey To The West Auspicious Set Menus which are suitable for a table of 10 with its indulgent amalgamation of dishes with luxuriant ingredients and decadent flavours served communal-style. Tantalise your tastebuds with dishes like the Auspicious Roasted Duck with Fresh Lychee and Fatt Choy Braised Pork Belly.
