Originally a take-away ice cream concept known as Bing Qi Lin, the Sugarhaus is an ice cream and dessert parlour that holds a great range of ice cream flavours and refreshing desserts.

Located in the heart of Bukit Timah, the Sugarhaus has since undergone a revamp and now boasts a larger 45-seater space that shares a space with its new sister brand, Fat Belly – a cozy 10-seater steakhouse that offers unique alternative cuts of beef.

With all its ice cream prepared in-house and made from scratch, founder and owner Stanley Seow calls Sugarhaus a place “where happiness is homemade”. the 30-year-old banker-turned-food entrepreneur with a passion for all things savoury and sweet is on the go of experimenting with different flavour combinations.

Fix your sweeth tooth with a single scoop of ice cream that goes for $3.50++. Would rather indulge yourself in quirky flavours instead? Don’t fret and get Sugarhaus’ premium flavours at $4.30++ per scoop. We suggest going with The Dutch Chocolate if you are clueless on which flavour is good. It is made with a smooth blend of different types of chocolates and appears as one of the best-selling flavours on its menu. Else, you might look to try new flavours such as the Sour Cherry (made with amarena cherries imported from Italy) and the Hibiscus Yogurt.

Further pamper your sweet tooth with a recreation of the Sugarhaus’ famous Taro Galaxy Cake, the Galaxy Tart ($8++) that is coated with a beautiful white chocolate mirror glaze and filled with chocolate mousse, raspberry jelly and chocolate crumble. Or, refresh your palate with a Lemon Popsicle Tart ($8++) that comes in the shape of a popsicle filled with lemon sable, lemon parfait and coated with delicate smooth white chocolate.

Besides its sweets, the Sugarhaus also offers a simple menu of savoury flavoursome options that are available till 5pm, such as the Salmon ($18++) and Beef & Foie Gras ($20++), that are extremely satisfying to the stomachs.

Well, dates doesn’t mean kids have to stay at home. During weekends and public holidays, surprise your little kids for a treat as they play around in a special bouncy castle available at Sugarhaus’ spacious outdoor patio. So if you are looking at a place that fulfils your meat cravings and sweet tooth, and perhaps your kids, the Sugarhaus is definitely the place to go!

No reservations allowed except for advance cake orders.
