The story of So Pho
So Pho is a Vietnamese casual-dining brand created in Singapore by the local Katrina Group, the company behind Bali Thai, rather than imported from Vietnam. It serves pho, banh mi and rolls in suburban malls, and the group later took it to Shanghai.
- 1995: Alan Goh founded Katrina Group, the Singapore restaurant company that later created So Pho.
- 2016: Katrina Group listed on the SGX Catalist board, with So Pho among its brands.
- 2017: Katrina formed a joint venture with Hong Kong-listed Ajisen to open So Pho restaurants in China.
- 2018: The first overseas So Pho opened in a Pudong mall in Shanghai.
