The story of Basilico
Basilico is a single Italian restaurant on Level 2 of the hotel at 1 Cuscaden Road, best known for its antipasti-heavy buffet and walk-in cheese room. It opened in the late 2000s, when the hotel was still Regent Singapore, and stayed on when the building was rebranded as Conrad Singapore Orchard under Hilton.
- 2000s: Basilico opened at Regent Singapore in the late 2000s, taking over the space of Capers, which had served international buffet lunches and Asian à la carte dishes.
- 2019: Four Seasons' management agreement for Regent Singapore ended, and the hotel, along with Basilico, came under Capella Hotel Group, a subsidiary of owner Pontiac Land.
- 2020: For its 12th anniversary, Basilico ran a 'Best of the Best' menu that brought back signature dishes from its earlier years, including a 2009 truffle focaccia and a Wagyu beef lasagna.
- 2023: The former Regent was renamed Conrad Singapore Orchard under Hilton management, and Basilico was kept as one of the hotel's restaurants.
- 2024: To mark its 15th anniversary, Basilico refreshed its interiors, named Davide Del Gatto chef de cuisine and opened Basilico Bar, which it described as Singapore's first vermouth-focused bar.
