Buffet catering in Singapore ranges from value local spreads at around $13.50-$16 per pax to premium menus at $30-$67.50 per pax. Regular buffets usually need a minimum of 25-40 pax. Most large caterers cook in industrial food hubs such as Quality Road and Enterprise Road in Jurong, Pandan Loop, Senoko and Kaki Bukit, and deliver islandwide with warmers and table set-up included. Delivery and GST are usually added on top of the per-pax price. Caterers such as Neo Garden collect the buffet set-up about four hours after delivery, so plan your serving time around that.

Your questions answered
How much does buffet catering cost per person in Singapore?
Value buffets from caterers such as Grain, Elsie's Kitchen, Select, Neo Garden and Stamford start at around $13.50-$16 per pax before GST. Mid-range menus cost about $18-$27 per pax. Premium caterers such as Purple Sage and The Plattering Co. charge from around $30-$67.50 per pax. Delivery (Neo Garden charges $90 per return trip for a regular buffet) and GST are usually extra.
What is the minimum number of guests for buffet catering?
Most full buffets need 25-40 pax, and some value menus need 50 pax or more, such as Elsie's Kitchen's Nostalgic Taste buffet (min 50). For groups of 10-20, look at mini buffets, which come in disposable containers without warmers or table set-up.
How early should I book a buffet caterer?
Neo Garden asks for orders 3 days in advance, and Stamford recommends 3-5 days. Book a few weeks ahead for festive periods. Neo Garden's SOS Buffet express handles last-minute orders, subject to menu availability.
Which buffet caterers are halal-certified?
Neo Garden, Rasel, Stamford, Elsie's Kitchen, Orange Clove, Chilli Api, Lavish, Four Seasons, How's and Grain all have kitchens listed in the MUIS halal directory (checked October 2026). Certificates must be renewed, so search the company name on halal.muis.gov.sg before booking. Purple Sage, Select Catering, Swee Choon and The Plattering Co. are not listed.
How long can buffet food be left out?
Neo Garden collects its buffet set-up 4 hours after delivery. For mini buffets without warmers, Charlie's Catering cites Singapore Food Agency guidance that the food should be eaten within 2 hours of delivery.
