Hotpot in Chinatown: 8 Best Spots (2026)

Sichuan hotpot with spicy broth

Chinatown's hotpot spots range from Chongqing-style mala pots and lamb-bone broths to cheap buffets and a supermarket-style hotpot shop where diners pick their own ingredients. Soup bases start from around $5 to $12, and buffets from around $20++ per person. Most of the restaurants are within a few minutes of Chinatown MRT: in Chinatown Point and People's Park Complex, on Pagoda, Smith and Mosque Streets and along South Bridge Road, with Steamov further down New Bridge Road near Outram Park. Several stay open well past midnight (Wu Wang Guo until 3am, Steamov until 6am), so supper is an option, and weekday lunch buffets are usually the cheapest time to go.
